Managed USGS Social Media Accounts
Since late 2021, I have planned and written all posts for the three USGS MD-DE-DC Water Science Center social media accounts. Our post impressions increased from 14k in 2021 to 208k in 2022, a 1,386% increase. And our Facebook and Twitter pages received 11.2k video views.
I also worked in conjunction with the USGS Water Mission Area (WMA) to run our successful #GageGreatness campaign in March/April 2022. Gage Greatness is a bracket style competition between USGS gages aimed at promoting USGS water science to the public. My work included organizing, scheduling, and graphic design. The final Twitter poll received 93 total retweets across the thread and over 500 votes.

I have worked on over 18 published videos showcasing USGS water science for the MD-DE-DC Center.
My roles have included:
Graphic Design: Scientific animations and infographics, lower thirds, and animated thematic video intros.
Video production: Filming b-roll, setting up camera and gear for interviews indoors and in the field, editing, and closed captioning.
Selected projects:
USGS On The Road - Sediment Fingerprinting In Langdon Park
Roles: Filming (as one of two shooters), editing, and animation
Fate and Bioremediation Team Roles: Animation, second shooter, and camera assistant for interviews
The full list of videos produced by the team can be found here.

In The Flow Newsletter - Winter 2022
I proposed and created “In The Flow,” the newsletter of the Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C. Water Science Center, which focused on water science issues in our region.
The newsletter is targeted to the Center’s stakeholders and core audience of water managers, academia, and interested laypersons.
I published the newsletter both as an email and to the web. Here is the page link:
USGS Photography
Over the past 1-1/2 years, I have had the opportunity to shadow MD-DE-DC Center scientists and photograph their fieldwork projects. The selected photos were shot between 2021 - 2022.

This video represents examples of motion graphics work I developed for the MD-DE-DC Center, including lower thirds, a stylized video intro for our USGS On The Road web-series, and scientific illustrations.
