Coronavirus Cases By Week Per 100,000 In Each State

The Project: This thirty-second animated graphic shows COVID-19 cases per 100,000 in each state from the start of the pandemic through February 2021. Throughout the past year, the coronavirus travelled across the country, creating hotspots in different regions at different times. This graphic helps to visualize those trends.

2024 Presidential Election – State by State Ratings – Part 1

The Project: This article is part of my ongoing series on how election models are made. In this article, I discuss the usefulness of linear regression when predicting future election outcomes. Building on the Model Election interactive, I sped up the process by creating a US map template that allowed me to display different data with the change of just a few lines of code; I demonstrate this several times in the article.
